Our Mission: Melbourne High School’s Anime Club has several goals in mind from its formation. We as a club represent not only our school, but also a diverse group of individuals united by a common interest. With anime club, our mission is to provide a safe environment for high school students to socialize and discuss topics relevant to daily life and the subject of anime, make friends with people who have the same love of anime, and to educate both its members and the community about anime and its impact on society on a global level. Anime club hosts weekly meetings to discuss specific topics and set goals. Everyone is welcome to join Anime Club, whether you are a devout anime watcher or are simply curious as to what anime is. We may be a small, fairly new club, but we are dedicated to fulfilling our mission individually and as a club. Please feel free to join any one of our meetings whenever free! In order to make the club more efficient, club members are expected to conduct themselves in a certain way.

In order to make the club more efficient, club members are expected to conduct themselves in a certain way. Starting in the 2014-2015 school year, $10 dues are being set in place for membership. Those who do not pay the dues will be unable to be in yearbook club photo, order a shirt, and attend any outside school events if slots are limited, based on club sponsor’s discretion. Those who are unable or unwilling to pay dues may still be part of the club and attend meetings and parties of the club, but they will not be considered full members. Additionally, members will now have to sign-in upon entering the meeting room. This is so the club sponsor and leadership can keep track of the approximate number of members and also make important decisions based on attendance. Emails or numbers of members should be given to the secretary so weekly newsletters can be sent out from leadership about meetings and upcoming events. Electronic devices should not be out during meetings unless prior permission has been granted.
